SEAPA Awards Fellowships to Ten Journalists

The Southeast Asian Press Alliance has awarded fellowships to 10 journalists in the region
who will produce stories on this year's programme theme, 'Towards an Information Society in Southeast Asia'.

The journalists are Khin Maung Soe, a freelance writer from Rangoon; Kyaw Zwa Moe from Irrawaddy
Magazine in the northern Thai province of Chiang Mai; Khan Sophirom from Rasmei Kampuchea Daily
in Phnom Penh; Agus Sudibyo from the Institut Studi Arus Informasi and Aprilian Hermawan from Bisnis Indonesia,
both based in Jakarta; Alecks Pabico from the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism; Grace Albasin from
Freeman Mindanao in the southern Philippines, Kingkan Triyong from Krungthep Thurakij and Piyapong Pongbhai
from Chip Magazine, both in Bangkok; and Do Ngan Phuong from Quoc Te in Hanoi.

The 10 will be travelling to a second country of their choice to work on their stories for a month, after a three-day
seminar in Bangkok.
